Taipei: Taiwan has advised its companies after Chinese factories were targeted in Myanmar. Taiwan has asked its companies based in Myanmar to try to differentiate themselves from China. For this, put the country's flag or such boards on which it is clearly written that they have no relation with China. In fact, on Sunday, a large number of protesters in Myanmar attacked Chinese factories located in Hlaingthaya District of Yangon. The protesters feel that the army has carried out the coup at the behest of China.
Target became a Taiwanese company
According to the news published in our partner website WION, according to Taiwan's Foreign Ministry, only one Taiwanese company was targeted in the violence in Myanmar on Sunday. 10 civilians were also trapped in the violence, but now all are safe. Embassy gave this advice
The Embassy of Taiwan in Myanmar has advised the companies to put a board written in the local language outside all commercial establishments. On which it has been clarified that he has no relation with China. In addition, the national flag of Taiwan can also be used. Also, companies have been asked to explain to local laborers and neighbors that these factories are from Taiwan, it has nothing to do with China.
Taiwan's biggest problem
Taiwanese firms are seen as Chinese companies in Southeast Asia. In 2014, when a protestor in Vietnam opened a front against China, a Taiwanese company was set ablaze as a Chinese company. Actually, China has been claiming Taiwan as its own and many countries also support its claim. Myanmar is also one of them, which is why Taiwan has no official relations with Myanmar. Because of this, people of Taiwan are often understood as China. To clear up this confusion, Taiwan has advised its companies.
